Where it all began.

Hi, I’m Brandy—the hands, heart, and imagination behind Dandelion Wishes.

It all started in 2018, during a long North Dakota winter, when I decided to tackle a few Pinterest projects to cut back on-screen time and stay creative. One idea led to another, and soon my husband surprised me with a Cricut to help bring those projects to life. Not long after, he gifted me my first scroll saw—and that’s when the real magic began. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a full-blown passion for handmade wood signs.

I’m completely self-taught, with endless inspiration from the amazing DIY maker community. I’m always learning new tricks and still obsessed with my favorite tools—my router, scroll saw, and now a laser that’s opened up a whole new world of possibilities.

Outside the workshop, I’m married to Dale, mom to Carter, and dog-mom to Ranger—our spunky rescue pup who loves to sneak into my stories 🐾. Carter is off adulting with his girlfriend Taylor and their corgi Jax, so diving into this creative journey not only helps me embrace the winters but also eases the transition into empty-nesting.

By day, I work full-time. But in my free hours, you’ll find me kayaking, curled up in my hammock with a good book, or dreaming up new product ideas.
